Recently opening on the 2nd of August and located within the charming chapel at the front of the Abbey Lane village in Highfields, The Chapel Gallery is dedicated to celebrating the work of over 20 talented artists from the Toowoomba region.
The opening night of the Chapel Gallery was an unforgettable experience, facilitating the sharing of art, music, and community. The event was a huge success - tickets sold out over a week before the doors opened, with more than 100 people in attendance on the night.
The Chapel Gallery
The Chapel Gallery is an initiative of local musician and framer Annabel Harth.
Whilst the gallery provides a unique, quaint and undeniably beautiful space for showcasing the talent of local artists, it is also home to Annabel's framing showroom.

The Chapel Gallery is home to art by; Linda Abraham, Liisa Gosper, Juliet Bradford, Kathy Brownsdon, Jeannie Cameron, Marg Carp, Jeanne Cotter, Sharon Dodd, Judi Edwards, Cindy MacDonald, Roslyn Hartwig, Donna Hockey, Karen Howard, Elizabeth Kusay, Alison Murphy, Jaye Singleton, Sharon Roberts, Kim Simmons, Nikki Tonkin, Fiona Taylor, Sue Wheeler, and me.

The Variety of Art
The gallery features a wide array of artistic styles and mediums ranging from watercolours and pastels to acrylics, oil paints, and even silver jewellery. My contributions include sculptural and ceramic works, adding a unique 3-D element to the gallery.
As a young, emerging artist, it’s an honour to display my work alongside such established artists. My pieces bring a distinctive and unique touch of fantasy, inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, mythology, and nature.
Opening Night Sales
The opening night was a success not just in terms of attendance but also in sales, with eight original artworks sold, including one of mine. I was very Impressed that one artist sold three separate works. I was thrilled to see my piece, A Dragon’s Legacy, find a new home.
This pyrography (burnt wood) work depicts a dragon skull and holds personal significance, as it represents a character from my first Dungeons & Dragons game. It feels fitting that A Dragon’s Legacy sold, as now the character’s legacy can live on in someone else’s home as well as my stories.
Highlight of the night
Beyond the sales, one of the highlights of the evening was a presentation showcasing each artist and their work. This thoughtful addition by Linda Abraham allowed guests to connect faces with the art on display and was well-received by all.
Alongside this, artists wore name badges, and our bios were available in the gallery, further deepening the connection between the creators and their creations.

Toowoomba's Art Community
The opening night of the Chapel Gallery was a resounding success, which is a testament to the strong art community in Toowoomba. Each artist played a role in promoting the opening night, which contributed to the event selling out well in advance.
I’m deeply grateful to be a part of this vibrant artistic community. I look forward to growing alongside these artists and establishing myself in the community.
Live Music
The evening was made even more special by live music, courtesy of the High-Country Community Band. The music added a beautiful depth to the atmosphere, making the night truly magical.

Amazing Artists
Among the artists at this gallery are some well-known names such as Jeannie Cotter, Cindy MacDonald, and Judi Edwards, who each participate in the Crow’s Nest or Toowoomba Artist Trails, where they open their studios to the public during August for Crow's Nest and September, for Toowoomba.
