Meet the Artist

I am a young, female Toowoomba-based artist and art student working primarily in the mediums of digital art, ceramics and sculpture but I create art in all mediums. My art is primarily inspired by dinosaurs/ pre-historic creatures and the adventures from Dungeons and Dragons games. I take great pride in contributing to an artistic narrative that both pays homage to the power of storytelling and inspires an innate curiosity of dinosaurs.

I specifically like to create work about these special interests of mine, which tend to be considered masculine interests such as TTRPGs and dinosaurs, as such I intend to create a space where young girls can see cute art of their interests.

The Idea

The installation expresses how a studio appears when it is an active and lived in space adding an element of reality when people’s perceptions regarding the average studio space may be skewed due to the manufactured nature of online content. Studios are an area of reflection, development and progress for many artists and these factors directly influence their art.

J Sjoholm says, “entering the art studio gives us insight into how artist work and create knowledge.” Allowing the audience a glimpse into the creative space lets them gather and apply more context to a piece than with a description alone.

This Open Studio will be part of the 2025 Crow's Nest InStudio Art trail alongside other local artists.
